Their dens include brush piles, hollow tree trunks and logs, and underground porches. They can also nest on home structures. Occasionally, they burrow below the ground when other forms of shelter are inaccessible.
Diet
Basically, skunks are omnivores and feed on grubs, insects, plantations. They are very opportunistic and take advantage of what seasons present.
Behavior
They are active at night and never hibernate. Although, they stay calm during winter and combine with other families for warmth. They generally are solitary animals in terms of foraging and living. Their strong fore claws and feet make them great diggers, damaging lawn, golf courses, and residential gardens. If threatened, they produce strong smells from behind. They only attack if endangered so as to protect their young ones. If the danger does not disappear, a skunk lifts the tail to emit a bad odor.
